Gregory Poland, MD, director of the Mayo Clinic’s Vaccine Research Group in Rochester, Minnesota, remains a staunch vaccination advocate — even though he developed tinnitus shortly after receiving his second dose of the Covid vaccine.
Since then, Poland says he has experienced what he describes as life-changing tinnitus, or ringing in the ears. It occurs in both ears, but is worse in the left than the right.
